What is included with the dog bed?
Our Woolpack Dog Bed is sold as a cover only, allowing you to fill it with your own materials such as wool, hay, old clothes, or rags for a more practical and sustainable option.

What filling do you recommend?
That's the beauty of the Woolpack — you fill it with whatever you have on hand. Here are some of our favourites:
🧺 Old clothing — before you head to the op shop, fill the Woolpack first
Dogs are comforted by the smell of their owner. Using old t-shirts, jumpers or worn clothing as filling is known to reduce anxiety and strengthen the bond between dog and owner - especially in younger dogs, nervous dogs, or dogs left home alone. Don't throw it out. Give it a second life in the Woolpack.
🐑 Wool — nature's perfect filling
Wool is temperature-regulating, naturally breathable, moisture-wicking, hypoallergenic and biodegradable. It keeps dogs warm in winter and cool in summer. If you have access to wool - fleece straight off the sheep, raw wool or even wool offcuts - it's one of the best things you can put in a Woolpack. It's what the bed was inspired by, after all.
🛏️ 2 standard pillows — the easiest option
Two standard bed pillows fit perfectly inside the Woolpack and give a lovely, even base. A great option if you don't have wool or spare clothing on hand, and pillows that are too old for your bed are perfect for the dog.
🧼 Cleaning out the linen cupboard? Fill the Woolpack instead
Old sheets, blankets, towels - instead of sending them to landfill, stuff them into the Woolpack. Your dog gets a comfortable, familiar-smelling bed and nothing goes to waste. When it's time to wash, simply empty the Woolpack, throw everything through the machine, and refill.
🌾 Straw or hay
Great for outdoor pens and working dog kennels. Natural, easy to source on the farm and simple to replace when needed.
Is it suitable for caravanning and travel?
Absolutely — this is one of our favourite things about the Woolpack. When it's time to hit the road, simply empty the filling and the cover folds up incredibly neatly and flat. It takes up almost no space in the van, ute, or boot of the car.
When you arrive, grab a couple of spare pillows, a blanket or some old clothing and refill in minutes. No lugging a bulky pre-filled bed across the country. Your dog gets a familiar, comfortable bed wherever you go, and they'll love having something that smells like home and your caravan stays neat and tidy.
How do I clean the dog bed?
Simply remove the filling, hose the cover down and scrub if required. It can also go in your washing machine on a gentle cycle, use a natural detergent to avoid irritating your dog's skin. Allow it to dry fully before refilling.
The filling itself, old clothes, sheets, blankets can go straight through the wash too to give everything a good freshen up.
What size is the bed?
Medium Size: Approx 80cm x 65cm x 12cm
This size comfortably suits most medium to large dogs.
What is the dog bed made from?
Our covers are made from a ballistic-grade fabric, It's the same heavy-duty material used in military and motorcycle gear, fitted with an industrial heavy duty zipper. This dog bed is designed to be durable and practical enough for the dog pen, the back of the ute, or the kennels and good-looking enough to bring inside by the fire.
Is this chew proof?
While we use one of the strongest fabrics available, no fabric is 100% chew-proof against a truly determined dog. A destructive dog can chew through a fence post if they want. What we can say honestly is that it's significantly tougher than the majority of beds on the market, we use this dog bed for all our puppies and young dogs that also like to chew.
